These book helped me to train my puppy Oliver. It inspired me to become a dog trainer. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of grammar and wording mistakes, but overall a pretty good book. It included a few things I never would've thought of myself.
The "advice" in this book is a combination of pure and simple common sense and misinformation - I was shocked to see the author advise basically rubbing a puppy's nose in "accidents". Haven't seen that one in a long time.
Worse, though, this apparently never went under the eyes of an editor. The writing is dreadful, between cute euphemisms (not too surprising, but annoying) and juvenile usage and typos. ("When the puppy goes to the bathroom, you want to act like its [sic] the best thing in the world.") Every single page is spattered with errors.
There has to be a better guide than this.
